Telephone boxes for self-assembly - Assemble meeting boxes yourself

We are asked quite often whether we also offer telephone boxes for self-assembly. The short answer is: yes! You can find all the telephone and meeting boxes from our range that are suitable for self-assembly here below.

The cheaper acoustic cubes in our range are generally designed in such a way that they can be assembled by yourself with a little manual dexterity. This not only saves you some money, but you also benefit from slightly faster delivery times (our assembly teams are usually quite busy). Some of our customers have even turned box assembly in their own office into a team-building event, killing two birds with one stone 🙂

What do you have to consider with telephone boxes for self-assembly?

You should consider the following points if you are planning to order a telephone box with self-assembly:

  • If ordered with self-assembly, telephone boxes are delivered by a forwarding agent free kerbside and on a one-way pallet.
  • You will have to organise the so-called “transport” - i.e. carrying the components to the installation site in the building - yourself. So allow extra time for this - especially if your office is located on the 5th floor without a (sufficiently spacious) lift.
  • You will need two people to assemble it and approx. 1.5 to 2 hours for assembly alone (at least the first time). It is best to read the assembly instructions in full beforehand or - if available - watch the assembly video.
  • Disposal of the transport packaging: Unfortunately, a lot of packaging material is required to protect the components (glass door!), which you must then dispose of properly, including the disposable pallet.
  • The following tool is helpful (varies from product to product):
    • A carpet knife to (carefully) open the outer packaging and to cut up the cardboard boxes
    • A screwdriver and/or a cordless screwdriver with various inserts
    • A spirit level (is partly included in the scope of delivery in a simple version)
    • A metre rule for measuring
    • A hammer (for connecting pins & co.)
    • A sturdy stool or step to reach the screw connections or similar on the cover of the telephone box.
    • A saw to be able to cut up the disposable pallet if necessary
    • Cleaning products & cleaning utensils: A hoover helps to clean the floor of cardboard residues etc., a damp cloth removes fingerprints on glass surfaces.

So fire away and choose a suitable telephone box with a self-assembly option!
