Unless you're a DJ, musician or sound engineer, you probably don't have a particularly keen sense of decibel values. But you don't have to be a professional or a technical expert to be able to judge the differences in the sound insulation of our telephone and meeting boxes: That's because we've developed a little helper that you can use to easily try out different decibel values yourself! Try out our sound insulation simulator and remember that the remaining residual noise is usually lost in the background noise of your office. Complete sound absorption is not desirable, even with the best acoustic cubes: on the one hand, complete silence creates discomfort, while on the other hand, sounds such as a fire alarm must still be audible inside the building.
Note: The sound insulation of our telephone boxes is in the range of 25 - 30 dB for cheaper models (sound insulation class B or ★★★☆☆), with more expensive ones at 30 - 33 dB (sound insulation class A / ★★★★☆) or even goes beyond (★★★★★).

Tips:
- Sound insulation is a relative value: Your loudspeaker should of course be switched on when using our simulator, but as the sound insulation in decibels is a relative value, it does not matter to our simulator whether you set your loudspeaker to full volume or only half volume. The volume output by our simulator always refers to the (uninsulated) output value of your loudspeaker.
- Language or music: Telephone and meeting boxes are designed to reduce the sound level of the audio frequency ranges in which human speech is located. As a rule, these are different tones and pitches to those of music from the radio. Nevertheless, we have included a music example in our simulator - simply because the effect can be better demonstrated.
