Use for AI applications with voice input

Why the AI boom is redefining voice input

Artificial intelligence is quietly but profoundly changing the way we interact with technology. While we have been typing for years, voice input is becoming the new superpower. This means that in the future, more and more tasks will be spoken instead of written. And this is precisely where a problem manifests itself that we already experienced with the triumph of video calls: When everyone is talking, it gets loud!

Why rooms are now becoming almost as important as software and hardware

The more powerful AI agents become, the more obvious their use by voice becomes. Countless applications will therefore be voice-based in the future - as suggested by current buzzwords such as „Conversational Voice AI“ and „Voice-Based Human-AI Interaction“.

However, this inevitably leads to two challenges:

  • Privacy - AI dialogues often contain confidential content that not everyone should be aware of.
  • Sound insulation - Constant talking creates a permanent background noise.

Telephone and meeting boxes therefore come into play as a particularly flexible and space-saving solution for soundproofing and privacy. These cover the spatial requirements associated with increased voice input: acoustically shielded retreats that are suitable for voice interaction with AI agents.

Privacy needs to be redefined when voice input becomes the new standard

Voice-based AI applications are set to become the new standard in many areas over the next few years - and not just in the office world. AI solutions that could be used in hospitals and doctors' surgeries in the future to relieve the burden on medical staff are particularly sensitive in terms of privacy. Even standard advice at the counter of a branch bank could in future be provided in part by voice-based AI applications, provided this can take place in a protected atmosphere such as a small advice box.

Which acoustic cubes are suitable for speech-based AI applications?

For voice-based AI applications, many of our telephone and workboxes are suitable for one person. The minimum technical requirements here are a LAN connection and, if necessary, a monitor holder. The following popular models from our range, for example, fulfil these requirements:

Our range of solutions

In addition to advice and the selection of suitable models, our range of solutions also includes the complete service for a nationwide roll-out. We have sufficient logistics and installation capacities throughout Germany and neighbouring countries. Customised additional services such as the installation of special devices can also be handled by us or our installation teams.

P.S.: Two AI start-ups from the voice & acoustics sector already rely on acoustic cubes from 99cubes.de 🙂
